Most families reach out when safety becomes a concern, such as wandering risk, kitchen mishaps, or worsening confusion. Caregivers Who Share Your Loved One's World
Our caregivers are experienced, mature adults who grew up in the same era as the clients they serve. They draw on shared memories, music, and life experiences to stay genuinely engaged with clients, even as cognitive function changes.
The Same Caregivers, Visit After Visit
Consistency is the difference between care that works and care that wears everyone out. Caregivers stay long-term, which means your loved one sees the same familiar faces instead of constant change. We track the Continuity of Care Index to make sure the same caregivers stay with the same clients over time. Consistency also improves safety, especially for clients with mobility challenges or cognitive decline.
Contracted with VA, Medicare Advantage, and PACE
Only a small percentage of home care agencies hold contracts with any one of these programs. Seniors Helping Seniors® holds all three, which means eligible clients may receive services at zero out-of-pocket cost.
Level 2 Background-Screened Caregivers
Every caregiver completes Level 2 background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, the most thorough screening level available in the state.
Getting started is straightforward. Most families have a caregiver in the home within 48 hours to one week of reaching out, depending on the care schedule needed.
Call us or reach out online. Our intake coordinator will spend about 10 to 15 minutes talking through your situation and your loved one's needs to see whether dementia support is the right fit. There is no obligation to move forward.
If you decide to move forward, documents are sent for review and signature. They can be completed digitally or in person, whichever works best for your family.
A registered nurse visits your loved one's home for an approximately one-hour assessment. This typically happens within 24 to 48 hours of your initial call.
After the assessment, we match your loved one with caregivers based on skill set, availability, proximity, and personality.
Simple schedules can be staffed within a couple of days. Around-the-clock arrangements take slightly longer to coordinate across multiple caregivers.
Home care is generally more affordable than a residential memory care facility for most levels of need. The cost advantage holds until a client requires roughly 10 to 12 hours of daily care, seven days a week. Most clients need far less than that, making home care both more comfortable and more economical.
Most families pay privately, but eligible veterans and those with certain Medicare Advantage or PACE plans may have coverage options that reduce or eliminate out-of-pocket costs.
We bill every other week for services already provided. No upfront payment is required.
Eligible veterans receive services at zero out-of-pocket cost. The VA authorizes a set number of weekly hours, typically 4 to 20, and we schedule care accordingly.
For clients enrolled in qualifying Medicare Advantage plans, services may be covered at zero out-of-pocket cost.
Clients enrolled in the PACE program receive services at zero out-of-pocket cost, with hours authorized by the program.

Most families start with a short 10 to 15 minute call to talk through the situation and see whether our services are the right fit. There is no obligation to move forward after that conversation.
Memory care typically refers to a specialized unit within a residential facility. In-home dementia support services are delivered where your loved one already lives. Many families prefer this because familiar surroundings and daily routines can be especially important for people with cognitive decline. We provide non-medical dementia support services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. For more information, see our Alzheimer’s care services in Bradenton.
Yes. Dementia support services are appropriate across a range of stages and conditions. Whether your loved one needs light supervision and companionship now or more structured daily support including personal care, we can build a care schedule that fits the current situation and adjust as needs change.
From your first call to the start of care is typically 48 hours to one week. A nurse assessment usually happens within 24 to 48 hours of the initial call, and caregiver matching follows from there.
Consistency is a priority. We track the Continuity of Care Index (COCI) to measure whether the same caregivers are consistently assigned to the same clients. Our caregiver turnover rate is also significantly below the industry average of 68 to 80 percent annually, which means the caregivers who start with your loved one are likely to stay.
Yes. Care is available around the clock, including overnight. For overnight shifts, caregivers stay awake throughout the night to assist clients safely, including those who get up frequently or become disoriented in the dark. Schedules range from 6 hours per week up to 24/7 continuous care with rotating caregivers.
Yes. A registered nurse visits your loved one’s home for an approximately one-hour assessment before any care begins. This evaluation covers care needs, the home environment, and any safety considerations specific to your loved one’s situation.
Cost depends on the type and frequency of care. Private pay clients are billed every other week for services already provided, with no upfront payment required. Eligible veterans, Medicare Advantage enrollees, and PACE participants may qualify for services at zero out-of-pocket cost. For full details, visit our paying for care page.
